Twitter is shockingly simple. Although the service boasts hundreds of apps and add-ons to extend its use, at its core, Twitter is nothing more than a way of describing what you’re doing in no more than 140 characters. This simplicity has made it the communication method of choice for millions of people, particularly those who rely on smart phones to broadcasts short messages to all of their friends or business contacts. The offspring of blogging (running logs about specific topics), Twitter is known as a microblog.

Like Facebook, Twitter requires authentications. Users must login to participate in the system. Many people link their Facebook and Twitter accounts so that a post to one automatically generates a post to the other. This makes it very easy for someone to keep in touch with a wide base of “friends” in more than one system at the same time.

KEYPOPPY websites are equipped with Twitter authentication. In other words, if your members are already logged into Twitter, they can use the same credentials to be automatically logged into your website, thereby eliminating the need to login twice. This feature tends to attract new members, many of whom prefer to remain logged into Twitter throughout the day.
