Superior User Management
Member profiles that improve communication
Churches practically invented social networking; communities of like-minded, faith-filled people working together to love God. Thus KEYPOPPY believes that churches should be equipped to capture, share, and protect members through their websites. Member management systems are thus a primary component of this process.
During the past four years, KEYPOPPY had mastered, modified, and expanded “Community Builder,” the open source extension that that helps church websites thrive. Community Builder integrates all the features need to make church websites social and keep members active (and interactive) on the web. KEYPOPPY has molded this open source Joomla Extension to work perfectly with churches and professional societies.
Extended Registration Forms
KEYPOPPY can customize your church registration form so that you can collect information from your members to determine how (or if) they fit into your community. All information is stored in databases so that you can export information to share with your existing offline data systems. Content can be in the form of text fields, free-text areas, dates, numbers, and so forth.
Additional User Profile Fields
Much like Facebook or other social networking profiles, you can create customized fields so that your users can share their interests or needs with other community members. You can define your membership by customizing profile content into tabs and positions.
Automated Response System
The registration system can automatically reply to registration requests, send reminders, custom messages, and so forth, so that you don’t have to constantly check your website. You’ll receive email notifications that let you know when to take action. You can customize all messages to match your identity (for example, Spanish speaking churches
Authenticate with Twitter or Facebook
Many of your church members already belong to Facebook and Twitter. So why ask them to remember another user name and password when you can allow them to share credentials automatically. Furthermore, churches can synchronize registration fields with Facebook data.
Easy Interaction
Church members and staff can communicate through searchable membership lists, “connections” (similar to Facebook friends), email links, private messaging, forums, blogging, and much more.
Safe at Last!
Community Builder has an excellent security record, with over two years of no vulnerabilities or exploitations. Code security audits are performed regularly, and design and implementation are made with security in mind. The component will even work with SSL certificates, so your members can be confident that you’re the only one that sees their data.
Integrate with Your Entire Website
The user management system, like the content management system, is built with open source code; software that can be modified with no strings attached. KEYPOPPY’s modifications allow members to connect with virtually anything on your website. For example, some churches have user forums built into their websites. These forums provide church committees a safe place to discuss ways to improve ministry. The user management system is neatly tied into these forums so that members can quickly find their conversations in their own profile (instead of tediously searching the forum). Similarly, the user management system allows members to view invoices from subscriptions, change their profile image, edit their password, add a message to their profile wall, connect with other members, view their favorite documents, and much more.
