Dedicated IP Address
It’s your web address, it should be your IP address, too!
An IP address, or Internet Protocol, is a numerical label that is assigned to servers (and partitions of servers) or any device that is part of a network that uses the Internet Protocol for communication. In other words, if a computer or website communicates over the Internet, Intranet or network (wired or wireless), it has a numerical ID that helps it talk to other computers or networks.
Many home routers have an IP address of 192.168.0.1 (or similar). IP addresses assigned to servers—like the ones that host your church website—have a very similar format. But not every website has its own IP address. Many websites, in fact, are put on a shared (single) server and the IP address of each website matches that of its host.
So why is it important to have a dedicated IP address (one address associated with your unique domain)? Because without one, you cannot adequately install SSL certificates (security measures for your website). Dedicated IP addresses also make it easier to create staging areas before your domain is formally launched.
KEYPOPPY offers dedicated IP address to all of their clients.
